{"id":77985,"date":"2019-11-22T03:31:57","date_gmt":"2019-11-22T08:31:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/?p=77985"},"modified":"2019-11-22T04:02:11","modified_gmt":"2019-11-22T09:02:11","slug":"ozzy-new-song-premiere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/?p=77985","title":{"rendered":"OZZY &#8211; New Song Premiere"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"OZZY OSBOURNE - &quot;Straight To Hell&quot; (Official Audio)\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8oZqKtuvDx4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> has unleashed <strong>&#8220;Straight To Hell&#8221;<\/strong>, the second single from his upcoming album, <strong>&#8220;Ordinary Man&#8221;<\/strong>, slated to be out via <strong>Epic Records<\/strong> in early 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">On <strong>&#8220;Straight To Hell&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> takes listeners to the heart of darkness \u2014 &#8220;something is missing and you don&#8217;t know why&#8221; \u2014 with <strong>GUNS N&#8217; ROSES<\/strong> guitarist <strong>Slash<\/strong> along for this devilish ride, delivering scorched-earth riffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Earlier this month, <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> released <strong>&#8220;Under The Graveyard&#8221;<\/strong>, his first new solo music in almost 10 years, which has garnered more than 2.8 million global streams in its first week. <strong>Rolling Stone<\/strong> noted &#8220;doom and gloom is what makes an <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> song great, and it&#8217;s what make this one a keeper,&#8221; and <strong>NPR<\/strong> wrote, &#8220;It sounds like <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> and, remarkably, <strong>Ozzy<\/strong>&#8216;s voice can still tear through your soul.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;This album was a gift from my higher power \u2014 it is proof to me that you should never give up,&#8221; <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Recorded in Los Angeles, the album features producer <strong>Andrew Watt<\/strong> on guitars, <strong>Duff McKagan<\/strong> (<strong>GUNS N&#8217; ROSES<\/strong>) on bass and <strong>Chad Smith<\/strong> (<strong>RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS<\/strong>) on drums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;It all started when <strong>Kelly<\/strong> [<strong>Osbourne<\/strong>] comes in and says, &#8216;Do you want to work on a <strong>Post Malone<\/strong> song?'&#8221; <strong>Ozzy<\/strong> explained. &#8220;My first thing was, &#8216;Who the fuck is <strong>Post Malone<\/strong>?!&#8217; I went to <strong>Andrew<\/strong>&#8216;s [<strong>Watt<\/strong>]  house and he said we will work really quick. After we finished that  song, he said, &#8216;Would you be interested in starting an album?&#8217; I said  &#8216;that would be fucking great, but now I am thinking I don&#8217;t want to be  working in a basement studio for six months! And in just a short time,  we had the album done. <strong>Duff<\/strong> and <strong>Chad<\/strong> came in and we would go in and jam during the day and I would go work out the songs in the evenings. I previously had said to <strong>Sharon<\/strong>  I should be doing an album, but in the back of my mind I was going &#8216;I  haven&#8217;t got the fucking strength&#8230;&#8217; but Andrew pulled it out of me. I really hope people listen to it and enjoy it, because I put my heart and soul into this album.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Ozzy<\/strong> has not released an all-new solo effort since 2010&#8217;s <strong>&#8220;Scream&#8221;<\/strong>, having spent the last few years touring with <strong>BLACK SABBATH<\/strong> in support of that band&#8217;s <strong>&#8220;13&#8221;<\/strong> LP, as well as playing a number of solo shows.
