FOLLOW THE CIPHER<\/strong> are currently working on the songwriting for their second studio album, which is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2020. Now the band announces the departure of their drummer Karl L\u00f6fgren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nKarl L\u00f6fgren commented: “After some long consideration, I decided that I\n will not be the drummer for Follow The Cipher anymore. There\u2019s no bad \nblood behind this decision, it\u2019s just that we have different goals with \nour musicianship. I love playing drums, but doing it at a professional \nlevel with extensive touring and big visual concepts isn\u2019t for me \nanymore. Happiness for me is playing double bass drums in a sweaty \nrehearsal room, doing a gig here and there at the local pub and since \nthe end of July when my beautiful son was born, it\u2019s also hanging out \nwith him and my awesome fianc\u00e9e. Follow The Cipher deserves to take it \nto the next level and to do so, they need a drummer that gives it a 100%\n and loves everything that FTC stands for. With that said, I love the \nwhole crew and I will probably continue to do some work behind the \nscenes with Vlogs, drum tech work and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n“To end this message, I would like to thank Ken, Viko, Linda & Jonas\n for all the good times we have had on and off stage, it has for sure \nbeen an overwhelming ride. Last but definitely not least would I like to\n thank everyone that has showed up to our shows, bought our music & \nmerch, joined us at the merchandise booth after the shows, bought & \nmade us gifts and freakin tattooed Follow The Cipher art on your bodies.\n YOU ARE FOR SURE AN AWESOME GROUP OF PEOPLE!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nDaniel Sj\u00f6gren adds: “It is with great pleasure and high expectations \nthat I step into the role as the new drummer of Follow The Cipher! \nActually, as some of you might know, I was a member of the band when it \nall started. However certain circumstances led to an early departure. \nAnyway, I\u2019ve been following the band\u2018s journey through the years and I \nalso got the pleasure to tour with them. I absolutely love the music and\n being able to play songs live, that took their first breaths while I \nwas still around, filled my heart with joy. That combined with \nmasterpieces created by some of the best songwriters around was such an \nhonour and a great experience! I can\u2019t wait to hit the road with the \nguys once again!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n“I would like to take the opportunity to wish Kalle all the best in the \nfuture! Him and I have been good friends for many years and we\u2019ve kind \nof followed in each other\u2019s footsteps. He\u2019s a great guy and a killer \ndrummer! I feel very humble about taking on the project he left and I \nhope to do so in the best way I possibly can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
