It is taken from the upcoming \u201c<strong>Savannah True Crime Compilation<\/strong>\u201c, due out this November on <strong>Graveface Records<\/strong>. Check it out <a href=\"https:\/\/cvltnation.com\/feel-the-fear-of-the-unknown-in-black-tusk\/\">HERE<\/a>. The band\u2019s guitarist\/vocalist <strong>Andrew Fidler<\/strong> commented of this latest track and the inspiration for it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">\u201cIn Colonial America in from 1692-1693, our country  underwent an actual witch hunt that has repeated itself, in various  forms, over and over again up to the present day. \u2018<strong>Gallows Hill<\/strong>\u2018  is inspired by the history of the Salem Witch trials, in which innocents  were persecuted by those who were afraid of anything different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">When we were asked by <strong>Graveface<\/strong> to contribute a song to a comp  dealing we the subject matter of cults and serial killers and fear of  the unknown, we felt it fitting to write about an event that truly  cemented the rule of mass hysteria into our cultural and political  systems while highlighting a segment of our societies penchant for  persecuting a set of ideals or belief system or even just the way a  person identifies themselves or how they choose to live outside a set of  norms established by religion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Inspirations for the song aside, this is also the first song we\u2019ve written with longtime collaborator and new guitar player<strong> Chris \u201cScary\u201d Adams<\/strong>.  He recorded TCBT for us and did this song as well. We\u2019ve just built a  new studio, so be on the lookout for more from us very soon!
