MAYHEM<\/strong> have announced an October 25th release date for their sixth album, \u201cDaemon<\/strong>\u201c. Speaking of the outing, the band\u2019s camp in part commented of it:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018Daemon<\/strong>” isn\u2019t a direct follow-up to \u2018Esoteric Warfare<\/strong>\u2018. Like all Mayhem albums of their time, \u2018Daemon<\/strong>\u2018 is unto itself. The wolf solitary and singular. Indeed, \u2018Daemon<\/strong>\u2018 also isn\u2019t a new chapter in our storied career. Rather, it\u2019s a new tome, authoritative yet wild in character\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pre-order for all formats will start on August 30th \u2013 detailed info on all different formats will be made available soon! \u201cDaemon\u201d isn\u2019t a direct follow-up to \u201cEsoteric Warfare\u201d. Composed and decomposed with the same lineup – Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila (vocals), Teloch (guitars), and Ghul (guitars) – that handled \u201cEsoteric Warfare\u201d and performed \u201cDe Mysteriis Dom Sathanas\u201d in its entirety over the last few years, \u201cDaemon\u201d isn\u2019t a retrofit of classic songs like \u201cFreezing Moon,\u201d \u201cPagan Fears,\u201d or \u201cBuried by Time and Dust\u201d either. That\u2019s what the live album, \u201cDe Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive\u201d (2016), was for. \u201cDaemon\u201d is change, an opportunity for the maw of hell to open wider.
