That trek will find them hitting the following shows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">09\/04 New Orleans, LA \u2013 Howlin\u2019 Wolf<br \/> 09\/05 Houston, TX \u2013 White Oak<br \/> 09\/06 Austin, TX \u2013 Barracuda<br \/> 09\/07 Dallas, TX \u2013 Club Dada<br \/> 09\/08 Little Rock, AR \u2013 Vino\u2019s<br \/> 09\/09 Memphis, TN \u2013 B-Side<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Black Tusk was born from sweat. There was blood, and maybe a few tears, too, but more than anything, it was sweat that marked the earliest years of Savannah, Georgia\u2019s Black Tusk. Formed in 2005 by three lifelong friends\u2014bassist Jonathan Athon, guitarist Andrew Fidler, and drummer James May\u2014the band welded together a three-pronged vocal attack, dirty punk, sludgy heavy metal, and a big fat dose of Motorhead to create what they called \u201cswamp metal.\u201d The name stuck, and the sound spread as they hit the ground running and toured hard on their first EP, 2005\u2019s rough\u2019n\u2019ready When Kingdoms Fall. They kept up a manic pace, recording two more demos (2006\u2019s untitled demo and 2007\u2019s The Fallen Kingdom. Hyperrealist signed on to release their 2008 debut LP, 2008\u2019s Passage Through Purgatory, and 2009 saw them churn out a trio of splits with the likes of The Holy Mountain, ASG, and Fight Amp.
