The <strong>Metallica X Dogtown<\/strong> limited-edition skateboard deck and t-shirt are available now at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metallica.com\/store\/featured\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Metallica.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Inspired by &#8217;80s <strong>Dogtown<\/strong> and <strong>METALLICA<\/strong> styles, the board shape and airbrush paint were designed by <strong>Jim &#8220;Red Dog&#8221; Muir<\/strong> and produced by <strong>Professor Schmitt<\/strong> at <strong>PS STIX<\/strong>. The graphic art was perfectly blended by <strong>Sean Cliver<\/strong>. The graphic was silk screened the old-fashioned way by <strong>Chicken<\/strong> at <strong>Screaming Squeegees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Dogtown Skateboards<\/strong> was birthed in 1976 out of the notorious <strong>Zephyr<\/strong> surf and skate scene that dominated southern California in the &#8217;70s (as documented in the films <strong>&#8220;Dogtown &amp; Z-Boys&#8221;<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Lords Of Dogtown&#8221;<\/strong> (starring <strong>Heath Ledger<\/strong> and <strong>Emile Hersch<\/strong>), and has since cemented itself as an integral part of not just California culture, but American culture as we know it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\"><strong>Dogtown<\/strong> is a world-renowned empire credited as the jumping-off point for the art form we recognize skateboarding as today, and incidentally also the nucleus for the entire extreme sports arena globally.
