The band had been scheduled to perform in Beirut on April 28 but, according to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.albawaba.com\/node\/lebanon-censors-heavy-metal-band-sepultura-devil-worship-1281479\" target=\"_blank\">Albawaba<\/a>, Lebanese authorities accuse Sepultura of &#8220;insulting Christianity&#8221; and being &#8220;devil worshippers,&#8221; ultimately refusing to process their visas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">Concert promoters Skull Session had the following to say to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alaraby.co.uk\/english\/news\/2019\/4\/21\/brazilian-metal-band-barred-from-lebanon-for-satanic-music\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The New Arab<\/a> about the ban: &#8220;Basically, what we learned is that they are considered devil worshipers, that they have disrespected Christianity, and that they have performed in Israel, all of which are, of course, not true.&#8221; You can read an extensive statement from Skull Session <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SkullSessionFest\/posts\/650642402041788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\">While the 1993 music video for Sepultura&#8217;s track &#8220;Territory&#8221; featured footage taped in Israel, the band have never performed there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SEPULTURA have reportedly been barred from playing in Lebanon this week.
