\nSad news to report. ALL THAT REMAINS guitarist and founding member Oli Herbert has passed away. A cause of death has yet to be revealed. Herbert was 44-years-old and leaves behind a wife. TMD sends out condolences to Oli’s family and friends.<\/p>\n
The following statement has been issued:<\/p>\n
“We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away.<\/p>\n
“Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.<\/p>\n
“No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made.” Sad news to report. \nFor 15 years, Massachusetts-based quintet All That Remains have written and released\u2026 whatever the hell they felt like with total disregard for what was considered trendy. Fronted by self-confessed contrarian Phil Labonte, the band has experimented with a range of styles including pop, rock and caustic metalcore with just one objective \u2013 to create great songs that come straight from the heart.

\n\u201cOur goal has always been to write songs that we like,\u201d Labonte says. \u201cAll That Remains has seen a lot of criticism about the songs that we\u2019ve written and what people think we\u2019re supposed to do. We started as a very underground death metal kind of band, we\u2019ve since moved away from that and have never apologized for it. The music we\u2019ve written has been reflective of that and I think the lyrics, the ideas, have always been reflective of that as well.\u201d
