\nBelgian death metal band ABORTED is currently finishing up the recording process for their next studio album. Recorded with producer Kristian Kohlmannslehner (Crematory, Benighted) in Germany, the outing has been titled TerrorVision and will arrive on September 21 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n
Vocalist Sven De Caluwe has issued the following update:<\/p>\n
“So here we are, at it again. We just spent a little over two weeks recording the follow up to Retrogore, entitled TerrorVision at the mighty Kohlekeller Studios in Germany. Tracking is coming to its end, and it’s been a record we poured a ton of work in over the last year or so. This is actually the first record we were able to do full pre-productions for and had Kohle involved in with since the beginning, and let me tell you, the result is there. We all feel very proud and strongly about how this beast is shaping. Get ready for the most ambitious, varied and brutal Aborted record so far. \nThere are many ways to die but even more to kill as sonic mass murderers ABORTED elaborately explain since their forming back in 1995 and once again explicitly underline on their newest, eighth studio album \u201cThe Necrotic Manifesto\u201d. Founding member and vocalist Sven “Svencho” de Caluw\u00e9 reveals that conceptually \u201cthe album is our own take on the sordid tales of the Necronomicon, the \u201cbook of the dead\u201d, of corpse drowned in a sauce of gore and fun covered with a good old 80\u2019s slasher vibe.\u201d This idea was congenially transformed into excellent artwork by Par Olofsson, who already created stunning visuals for acts like The Faceless, Exodus, Immolation, Pathology, Immortal and more.
