\nSanta Cruz, California technical death metal act DECREPIT BIRTH has dropped off their current tour with The Black Dahlia Murder et al. due to some health issues involving guitar player Matt Sotelo. The band has issued the following statement:<\/p>\n

“Due to the intensifying of a pre-existing medical condition, our guitarist Matt Sotelo is not able to finish the rest of the dates for the current tour with The Black Dahlia Murder, Suffocation, Necrot and Wormwitch. Matt will need the next few months to recover, but is expected to make a full recovery and will be ready to tour again next year. Since Matt is such an important member to the band and VERY integral to our live show, the band will also not be able to continue on with this tour without him. We all apologize to our fans who already bought tickets to see us. We promise to return to your area for make-up shows next year. Again, we apologize to our fans and friends who planned on seeing us during this tour. We were having a great time\u2026 but please, still support this tour and go see the amazing bands that are on it. We’ll be back!”
