\nOMNIUM GATHERUM unleashed their new single \u201cBlade Reflections”. It is currently available both digitally and on a split 7\u201d with Skalm\u00f6ld. Vocalist Jukka Pelkonen commented of the track:<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the light of recent events we wanted to voice our opinion about the tragedy of suicide. This is a subject that may concern anyone at some point. \u2018Blade Reflections\u2018 is a statement against suicide and an encouragement to all of those who dwell in the depths of self-annihilation.<\/p>\n
Having been there myself too, I know how devastating it can be. There is nothing more precious than this life itself and it is worth seeing through. Though, we do not condemn those who choose to go, rather we want to stand by with all the rest, all of us, who are staying.\u201d
\nGuitarist Markus Vanhala added:<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2018Blade Reflections\u2018 is a lil\u2019 older song that didn\u2019t entirely fit to our previous album, so here it is \u2013 as a single format standalone anthem! The song was produced in a kind of swansong recording session with our former long-time drummer Jarmo Pikka. So we still keep Tuomo Latvalas upcoming beats and styles as mystery for you til\u2019 the next album, the Century Media OG debut, which we\u2019re soon about to start recording.<\/p>\n
Before that, enjoy \u2018Blade Reflections\u2018 and come to see us on autumnal European stages in October\/November during our \u2018Arctic Circle Alliance\u2018 co-headline tour with Icelanders of Skalm\u00f6ld and Finnish fellows Stam1na opening all the evenings!\u201d
\nAs Vanhala mentioned, a new album from the band will arrive through Century Media next year.<\/p>\n
