\nSeptic Flesh split-up in 2003 and then reunited in 2007 as Septicflesh. The name change to \u201cSepticflesh\u201d has been confirmed by Christos in a Lords of Metal interview. The reason behind the decision was that it looked better, although the meaning was the same. Biography Athens, Attica, Greece (1990 \u2013 2003, 2007 \u2013 present) Hailing from Athens, Attica, Greece, Septic Flesh was founded in 1990. Their sound is a mixed of death metal and gothic metal (or gothic death metal) with elements of doom metal. The band has often been compared to other bands of a similar style, like Paradise Lost, Anathema, My Dying Bride or Nightfall. In 2003 the band disbanded but reunited as Septicflesh in 2007 with a different line-up. Since reuniting, they play a mix of death metal and neo-classical. <\/p>\n
This combination is often described as atmospheric death metal or symphonic death metal.
