\nWrong One To Fuck With, the new album from Maryland death metal act DYING FETUS, has debuted at No. 180 on the Billboard 200 chart (No. 39 on the Top Current Albums chart) with first-week sales of 4,590 in the United States. The tally represents the band’s highest first-week sales total to date.<\/p>\n
Dying Fetus says, “your continued support over the past 26 years means a lot to us.”<\/p>\n
Dying Fetus’ previous album, Reign Supreme (2012), sold roughly 3,000 in its first week and debuted at No. 186 on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
Going back further, 2009’s Descend Into Depravity bowed at No. 168 on the aforementioned chart, selling 2,700 copies in its first week. \nIn 1995, DYING FETUS self-released, promoted and distributed their first album, \u2018Infatuation With Malevolence.\u2019 In support of the album, the band toured the Eastern U.S., including a high-profile performance at the CMJ Music Convention at New York\u2019s Lincoln Center. DYING FETUS also represented death metal as a genre on a panel at the convention.

\nIn 1996, DYING FETUS\u2018 second album, Purification Through Violence was released simultaneously in America on Pulverized Records and in Europe on Diehard Music Worldwide. The band immediately embarked on their first full North American tour, hitting 25 cities with Canada\u2019s KATAKLYSM and Florida\u2019s MONSTROSITY. The response to the band\u2019s unreal live show was astounding and the DYING FETUS name began to take residence in the minds of metal heads everywhere.
