\nOkay, we admit this definitely looks like another April Fools joke. But, according to nu metal band KORN, bassist Fieldy will be missing the band\u2019s upcoming South American stops this month due to \u201cunforeseen circumstances.\u201d In his place will be Tye Trujillo\u2014the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo. Korn issued the below statement on the matter via Facebook:<\/p>\n
\u201cOn April 17 Korn is heading down to South America for a run of dates in Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Fieldy is unable to make the shows so the band will be joined by a special guest. Filling in for bass duties will be Tye Trujillo, the 12-year old son of Metallica\u2019s Robert Trujillo and member of NorCal group The Helmets.<\/p>\n
Says the band, \u201cWe are bummed Fieldy can\u2019t join us on this run but excited to do a few gigs with a young player like Tye. We look forward to welcoming our brother Fieldy back when we return to the States in May.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fieldy will resume Korn\u2019s 2017 tour at Carolina Rebellion on May 6.\u201d
