\nAIRBOURNE have unleashed a video for \u201cIt\u2019s All For Rock N\u2019 Roll,\u201d the climactic track on their current studio album, Breakin\u2019 Outta Hell \u2013 their first for Spinefarm Records. Check it out HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s All For Rock N\u2019 Roll\u201d was written about Lemmy, a man the band looked up to, befriended and loved, having shared stages with Mot\u00f6rhead on numerous occasions over their decade-plus career, both in Europe and Australia. When they needed someone to drive a large truck (recklessly, of course) in their \u201cRunnin\u2019 Wild\u201d video (2007), Lemmy was the first name on the list, and he duly obliged with a memorable, authority-baitin\u2019 cameo.<\/p>\n
Mot\u00f6rhead\u2019s famous \u201cbomber\u201d lighting rig, a noted part of \u2018Head history since the late \u201970s, was enthusiastically lent to Airbourne by the Mot\u00f6rhead camp, adding real emotional weight to both the \u201cIt\u2019s All For Rock N\u2019 Roll\u201d clip and the song itself \u2013 an anthemic number recorded to honour one of rock\u2019s most revered and influential figures, and also to celebrate the hard rock genre as a whole, the loyalty and the legacy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen Mot\u00f6rhead played, Lemmy was there for the fans and the fans were there for him. It didn\u2019t matter what was happening in the world at that point, because Mot\u00f6rhead was onstage; the crew had everything dialled in, and the crowd were there and lovin\u2019 it \u2013 all for rock n\u2019 roll,\u201d said Airbourne frontman Joel O\u2019Keeffe. \u201cWhenever we were on tour, we looked forward to seeing the festival posters with the big Mot\u00f6rhead logo on there, and now there\u2019s just a big black hole. \u2018We are Mot\u00f6rhead, and we play rock \u2018n\u2019 roll,\u2019 we were so used to hearing that, and when it\u2019s not there anymore, it hits you hard. Lemmy meant so much to us, and so much to rock \u2018n\u2019 roll itself\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
