\nUSURPER is back! From forming in 1985 to disbanding in 1990 the band released a couple of demo\u2019s that became legendary in the underground and one album: \u201cDivine Spiritual and Intellectual Development\u201d.<\/p>\n
This album became a collectors item in the underground and last year Marquee records Brazil re-released this album after 25 years on their Metal Classics label. In August the Crypt records u.s.a will release a vinyl version, a double album in coloured vinyl with the album and all the demo\u2019s, 2 un-released re-recordings and one brand new song.<\/p>\n
For the re-recording USURPER frontman Patrick Harreman teamed up with Martijn Horsten on guitar, Larry Kranenburg on drums and Ren\u00e9 Simons on guitar. The re-recording sounded so good that the guys decided to write a new track. This spiraled into madness and to cut a long story short\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..the band is recording a new album as we speak.<\/p>\n
Patrick Harreman: Lemmy said it before: \u201cyou always go back to the first love in music\u201d. To me that was extreme thrash metal. But it is a suprise, even to me hahahaha the re-recodings went so well and was so much fun that we decided to continue. I cant wait to play the old stuff the way we do now<\/p>\n
The band is playing some try out gigs in their hometown Vlaadingen \/ Rotterdam in the first week of September. after that the band will headline DOCFEST in the Netherlands and more shows will be announced.
