Norwegian black metallers GORGOROTH<\/strong> have entered the national chart in their home country at position No. 22 with their latest album, “Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam”<\/strong>. View the whole chart at this location<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

“Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam”<\/strong>, was released in Europe on June 19 via Regain Records<\/strong>. The CD will receive a U.S. release on July 25 through Candlelight<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Ad Majorem Sathanas Gloriam”<\/strong> is said to be “the logical next chapter for the highly decorated and controversial Norwegian black metal band; many already calling it their most accomplished work to date.” The CD was mastered by guitarist Infernus<\/strong> (real name: Roger Tiegs<\/strong>) at the Cutting Room<\/strong> in Stockholm, Sweden.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, GORGOROTH<\/strong> recently parted ways with bassist and songwriter King ov Hell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“King<\/strong> has recently had problems fronting some of the ideological aspects of his band GORGOROTH<\/strong>‘s agenda,” reads a posting on the group’s web site. “As a result, it has now been mutually agreed upon that henceforth he is no longer a member of the band GORGOROTH<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

GORGOROTH<\/strong> reportedly recorded several shows on their fall 2005 European tour with 1349<\/strong> for an upcoming live album, entitled “True Norwegian Black Metal”<\/strong>. Scheduled for a late autumn release in 2007, it will mark and celebrate GORGOROTH<\/strong>‘s 15-year anniversary.<\/div>\n
