\nGermany’s THE NEW BLACK have announced Philipp \u2018Flip\u2019 Klinger as their new drummer.<\/p>\n
The band says in a statement:<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter almost 10 years (ten!) Chris Weiss steps down from the TNB drum throne to take care of other things in life. Flip will play his first show with us tonight Wiesloch and will continue with us on the A Monster\u2018s Tour.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2018s all good, there\u2018s no drama whatsoever. We have known Flip for a while, he has been with us in the studio, teching for the new album. He\u2018s been playing in Fabs\u2018 thrashcore combo Wild Zombie Blast Guide for a year, and some of you might know him from Franconian thrashers Hatred. Flip\u2018s a great guy and a terrific drummer, so again there were no auditions.<\/p>\n
\u201cOf course, a big Thank You is in order for Chris, our drummer from day one, for his groove, for recording his parts of A Monster\u2018s Life in less than two days and for several, well, special moments: \u2018Whose pants do you want me to sign now?\u2019 We\u2018re proud of what we accomplished so far, four cool albums, a lot of kick-ass shows and all in all a great time. Keeping the same line-up since 2007 is awesome in itself, right? We wish Chris all the best for the bottom of our old black hearts!<\/p>\n
