\nDOWN guitarist Peeper Keenan called into the Metal Hammer Magazine radio show this week. While no mention was made of guitarist Kirk Windstein\u2018s recent departure\u2014and subsequent replacement by Honky\u2018s Bobby Landgraf\u2014Keenan did drop some info on the bands forthcoming EP.<\/p>\n
According to Keenan the group have finished demoing six songs for the outing and are due to begin tracking drums for it this coming Monday, October 7th. He described the outing as being a \u201cslight continuation\u201d of the bands previously released EP and said that it has a \u201csuper heavy vibe\u201d. Keenan also announced that the band will be headlining August 08th date of the \u2018Bloodstock Open Air\u2018 festival in Derbyshire, UK next year. Here is an excerpt from that discussion:<\/p>\n Rocket: What initially inspired you to want to start your own record label?<\/p>\n Philip: There\u2019s music I\u2019ve made in the past, music I\u2019ll make in the future, and a handful of bands from around the world that deserve to be heard. The thought of licensing the personal music I\u2019ve been holding onto for over ten-years with some other \u201clabel\u201d was ghastly; it wasn\u2019t going to happen. So I knew one day I\u2019d HAVE to put the stuff out on my own!
