Anselmo, NOLA&#8217;s DOWN has begun writing new music at Philip&#8217;s New Orleans studio, Nodferatu&#8217;s Lair. The new Down EP is tentatively scheduled to be released in early 2014.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nRead Rocket&#8217;s acclaimed March\/2010 interview with DOWN vocalist Philip H. Anselmo <a href=\"http:\/\/www.down-nola.com\/index.cfm\/pk\/view\/cd\/NAA\/cdid\/423313\/pid\/400042\">HERE<\/a>.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nHere is an excerpt from that discussion:<br \/>\n<br \/>\nRocket: What initially inspired you to want to start your own record label?<br \/>\n<br \/>\nPhilip: There\u2019s music I\u2019ve made in the past, music I\u2019ll make in the future, and a handful of bands from around the world that deserve to be heard. The thought of licensing the personal music I\u2019ve been holding onto for over ten-years with some other \u201clabel\u201d was ghastly; it wasn\u2019t going to happen. So I knew one day I\u2019d HAVE to put the stuff out on my own!
