\nSLAYER held their celebration of life for their late guitarist Jeff Hanneman today, May 23rd. The event was open to the public and took place at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, CA. Various friends, family, musicians and fans attended the affair which saw Hanneman\u2018s Slayer bandmate Kerry King, Metal Blade founder Brian Slagel, Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, System Of A Down\u2018s Shavo Odadjian, Dino Paredes (American Recordings,) Nick Bowcott (Marshall Amplification) and more take to the stage to speak and share stories about Hanneman.<\/p>\n
Fan-filmed footage from the memorial has begun to surface online with some clips available HERE<\/a>. Hanneman passed away earlier this month at the age of 49.
