\nMELDRUM\u2019s latest single entitled “Paid” is available now on iTunes (http:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/us\/album\/paid-single\/id564528537<\/a>). “Paid” is the third single to be released from MELDRUM\u2019s long awaited third album \u201dLIFER\u201d due out this fall via REVERSED RECORDS. “Paid” is a tongue in cheek poke at the music industry and the one hit wonders that think they have it made. MELDRUM vocalist Michele Madden has this to say about the single \u201dA warning to the wanna be\u2019s not to mix their ambition with their blinding lack of ability “just sayin\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201dPAID\u201d is streaming now at: http:\/\/soundcloud.com\/meldrummusic\/03-paid<\/a> MICHELLE MELDRUM passed away at the age of 39 in May 2008. \u201cLIFER\u201d stands as a proud tribute to MICHELLE and her lifetime commitment to creating and performing music. MICHELLE wrote the material for the album with drummer GENE HOGLAN (Testament, Death, Dark Angel, Dethklok), along with new members bassist\/guitarist LAURA CHRISTINE (Warface) and vocalist MICHELE MADDEN (Tourette\u2019s).<\/p>\n MICHELLE\u2019S untimely demise before any of her guitar tracks for \u201cLifer\u201d were able to be laid down led the three remaining members to come together in tribute to her, to honour Michelle\u2019s vision of the album, with Laura Christine playing the majority of the rhythm and bass guitars, as well as all the leads. Partial proceeds from the album will go to MICHELLE\u2019S son Jake Thomas who she left behind when she passed.<\/p>\n MELDRUM has toured worldwide with Lemmy Kilmister\u2019s Motorhead, Zakk Wylde\u2019s Black Label Society, Sepultura, Danzig, Nashville Pussy, as well as sharing the stage with many more. Touting a combination of mammoth vocal styles along with aggressively melodic vocals, mind bending guitar riffs and a rhythm section that creates fiercely bombastic grooves, this is what gives MELDRUM their unique, cutting edge sound.
