\nLet Decibel magazine hurl your weekend into a sonic maelstrom of brutality with a full stream of Undead<\/em>, the forthcoming new studio offering from death metal monarchs SIX FEET UNDER. Scheduled for North American release on May 22, 2012 through Metal Blade Records, Undead was produced by Mark Lewis (Deicide, Devildriver) and mixed by Jason Suecof (Whitechapel, Job For A Cowboy) at Audio Hammer Studios in Sanford, Florida. The record features an updated lineup of Barnes alongside guitarist Rob Arnold (ex- Chimaira), longtime guitarist Steve Swanson (ex-Massacre), bassist Jeff Hughell (ex-Brain Drill, ex-Vile), and drummer Kevin Talley (Dying Fetus, Misery Index, Chimaira) and has already begun raising the ears of fans and critics alike. In an early review of the record, Blistering.com commends the band for giving \u201cmeat-and-potatoes death metal a nice kick in the behind,\u201d PitRiff.com champions Undead for being \u201cpowerful, musical and yet distinctly death metal,\u201d while PureGrainAudio opines: \u201c\u2026one of the world’s biggest death metal acts is still a commanding force of sonic destruction.\u201d Adds Metal Assault in a 9\/10 rating: \u201cif you\u2019re into throat-grabbing riffs and groove-oriented extreme music\u2026Undead is right up your alley.\u201d<\/p>\n
