\nPre-Taped Presentation Will Play Today at The Big Four at Yankee Stadium

\nWEDNESDAY, September 14, 2011 \u2013 Today, big dreams come true for the members of thrash-metal band Anthrax, as they return to their hometown of New York and step on the stage at Yankee Stadium. As the only one of The Big Four bands whose members are from New York, a number of the band have many childhood memories of attending Yankees games, making today\u2019s concert especially significant.<\/p>\n
If that\u2019s not enough, The Big Four concert takes place the day following the release of Worship Music, Anthrax\u2019s first new album in eight years, already receiving some of the best reviews the band has ever had in its career. \u201cFor over 30 years, Anthrax continues to \u2018Bring the Noise\u2019 through the \u2018Persistence of Time\u2019 in the Bronx, New York City and across the world; and<\/p>\n WHEREAS: Anthrax, a band with strong Bronx roots, is worshipped by their fans worldwide for giving them a \u2018Fistful of Metal,\u2019 both by touring and selling albums in the millions; and<\/p>\n WHEREAS: Today, I welcome Anthrax back home, as they \u2018Keep It in the Family\u2019 \u2018Among the Living\u2019 of the Bronx, while bringing a \u2018State of Euphoria\u2019 through the \u2018Sound of White Noise\u2019 to tens of thousands of people in Yankee Stadium;<\/p>\n NOW, THEREFORE, I Ruben Diaz Jr., President of the Borough of The Bronx, do hereby proclaim September 14, 2011 And urge my fellow citizens to take appropriate recognition of the occasion and get \u2018Caught in a Mosh.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Ruben Diaz Jr. <\/small><\/big><\/center><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT PRESENTS PROCLAMATION TO ANTHRAX BAND MEMBERS! \nAnd to make September 14, 2011 even more special, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. has given the band its very own day \u2013 today is \u201cAnthrax Day\u201d in the Bronx. President Diaz, Jr. made the official presentation at Yankee Stadium\u2019s Hard Rock Cafe, which was taped to be played back today at Yankee Stadium for the 50,000-strong crowd, just before Anthrax takes the stage, proclaiming:<\/p>\n
