The album is a work of dark, stormy, epic heavy metal that we are proud to release upon the world. Chris Fielding did a fantastic job in capturing the Celtic atmosphere of our songs while bringing out our heavy metal influences from bands like Warlord. We are very excited about it” comments vocalist Krum. Guitarist Sarah Wieghell adds; “It has been an incredible experience recording our debut album for Metal Blade, the songs came out better than even we were expecting. I think we’ve made a really strong record to be proud of, I can’t wait for people to hear it!” In the coming weeks, Metal Blade Records will release more info on DARKEST ERA’s debut release The Last Caress of Light, including street date, track listing, cover art, and song premiers.

“As evident from the likes of ‘Visions of the Dawn’, the group have hit upon a very traditional Metal sound that suits them, and deserve to be commended for it…They’re undoubtedly one of the most promising young bands in the country if you’re a metal maniac in the most traditional sense of the words.” MetalIreland.com
Darkest Era isn’t folk in the traditional sense of folk metal… Darkest Era instead go down a more straightforward route and blend elements of doom and folk into a classic heavy metal fold… complete with galloping rhythms, powerful clean vocals, and epic chord progressions… Fans of Primordial and those who like their metal epic need to hear this band.” SputnikMusic.com

“Some great pounding and powerful Epic Metal with some Power Metal references enforced by killer guitars and crystal clear vocals… There is a dark touch spread in all the compositions something that in my opinion is with no doubt the ‘key point’ in the music of this band. Straight in your face and memorable pounding riffing, brilliant lead themes and a skull crushing rhythm section are some more good pieces of their musical puzzle… do not miss this band… TO BATTLE!” Metal-Invader.com

http://www.myspace.com/darkestera

DARKEST ERA, the heavy metal band based in Northern Ireland and one of Metal Blade’s…

[1

post-16845","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
