\nGuitarist Randy Weitzel has issued the following statement on the matter via Facebook:
\n
\n“Hey guys, I\u2019ve decided to leave my band FLATLINE. I thought you should
\nhear it from me. I didn\u2019t want to post a bunch of drama but I feel
\nthat the people who have supported me deserve some sort of
\nexplanation… basically things have gotten to the point were we
\naren\u2019t able to tour and with no touring we can\u2019t pay off the last
\nrecord so that means that there is no next FLATLINE record in sight.
\nI\u2019ve been pretty patient but the future looks dim. Honestly I can
\nlive without the touring but if there\u2019s no music being made then I have
\nto split. I think it blows but there\u2019s nothing I can do about it. It
\nall comes down to money & politics. I have no beef with my band
\nmembers\u2026some of us are in this situation because of the expenses of
\ntouring and it is what it is\u2026we gave it Hell. To the fans and people
\nthat have supported this band I thank you from the bottom of my heart
\nfor everything and I hope the guys can figure out a way to keep it
\ngoing. So what\u2019s next? Look for a new Rock CD from me
\nearly-mid 2010 and I have a few other surprises that I think FLATLINE
\nfans will enjoy! It\u2019s a beautiful day people, anything can happen!
