The 2026 “self-titled” studio album from American thrash metal band MEGADETH<\/strong>, which clocks in at 47 minutes in total length, is purportedly the final studio release by the legendary group led by guitarist\/singer\/songwriter Dave Mustaine<\/strong>, and while it is the\u00a0end of the\u00a0line for one of the\u00a0all-time greats in heavy metal music history, the last collection of songs released by the band makes it kind of feel like the world is coming to an end, in a strange way. The effort comes by way of Mustaine’s Tradecraft imprint in partnership with Frontiers Label Group’s new label. \u201cWhen Megadeth started we said we would be fast and furious \u2026 we said so on the flyers we handed out,\u201d said Mustaine in a statement. Which is a funny thing, considering all the mid-tempo songs included on this record. This is the band’s 17th album, which crazily happens to be the same age of my late 3rd cousin 71 times removed Cleopatra VII<\/strong> when she ascended to power. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The palindrome of 17\/71 = 88 Monster Group<\/strong>. This is part of my theory that there is a larger conspiracy at work in the world today siphoning energy off my family’s divine current that governs the universe, involving aliens from another dimension who have hijacked the human visual spectrum via the 23 Matrix, and the world is facing a biblical reset now based off sacred, divine royal law on 8\/8<\/strong> this year when the kernel flip renders a new reality entirely. Sounds like a really cool movie premise, doesn’t it? The song “The Tipping Point”, which is one of the first singles for the album that I heard when it dropped kicks it all off, and no doubt, the production value is stellar as usual. The drumming by Dirk Verbeuren<\/strong> is top notch as always. Even Mustaine makes it obvious by tackling the religious subject with the track “Hey God?”, while throwing down “The Puppet Parade” and “Another Bad Day”. One of the bonus tracks is a cover of Metallica’s “Ride The Lightning” which is frankly, quite lackluster compared to the original. I would not have touched that one. In the end, this is the end of a metal music legend, and it is really sad to see this amazing band retire so young.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
