Veteran thrash metal band EXODUS\u00a0have revealed that their recent studio sessions have been yielding enough material for two albums. However, fans shouldn\u2019t expect a double album or both efforts to arrive at the same time. Appearing on\u00a0The Chuck Shute Podcast<\/a>, the band\u2019s guitarist\u00a0Gary Holt<\/strong>\u00a0said of their time spent recording thus far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve been in the studio for two weeks now. Tom<\/strong>\u2018s [Hunting<\/strong>, Exodus<\/strong> drummer] wrapping up drums. We\u2019ve set ourselves an ambitious goal on this record. We\u2019re recording two albums right now. We are a couple of songs shy from hitting our total goal of having two albums of crushing material. No filler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We figured if we have the songs, let\u2019s record \u2019em. And when it\u2019s time to release the follow-up, it\u2019s done, it\u2019s in the can. The chances are by the time we get to that point, I\u2019ll have new stuff that has to be included: \u2018Oh, this is so good.\u2019 But then we go into the studio for two weeks, not two months.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2026We\u2019ll keep [the second new album] in the can, ready to go, and won\u2019t have any downtime. We\u2019re not getting any younger. We might as well work a little extra hard now while we can.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon being asked when fans can expect the first of these two new records with vocalist\u00a0Rob Dukes<\/strong>\u00a0back in the fold to surface, he replied:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re shooting for a spring release of next year \u2014 like late winter, spring. We were hoping to get it done this year, get it out this year, but we would have had to rush it. And since we\u2019re trying to record 20 to 22 songs and we needed the time, it\u2019s gonna be worth it in the end. And the shit is fucking phenomenal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
