A new feature-length documentary on heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> has been picked up by Paramount+<\/strong>. That project has been dubbed \u2018Ozzy Osbourne: No Escape From Now<\/strong>\u2018, and is expected to premiere on the aforementioned streaming service later this year. A press release for the film reads as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Paramount+<\/strong> today announced the production of OZZY OSBOURNE: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW<\/strong>, a new feature-length documentary that peers behind Ozzy<\/strong>\u2019s public persona to reveal the devastating setbacks he has faced since his fateful fall in 2019. Currently in production, the project is slated to premiere on Paramount+<\/strong> later this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is Ozzy Osbourne<\/strong> like you\u2019ve never seen before: an honest, warm and deeply personal portrait of one of the greatest rock stars of all-time, detailing how the singer\u2019s world shuddered to a halt six years ago, forcing him to contemplate who he really is, confront his own mortality and question whether or not he can ever perform on stage for one last time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing his health issues and impact of his Parkinson\u2019s diagnosis, the film showcases the central role music continues to play in Ozzy<\/strong>\u2019s life \u2013 also proving his mischievous sense of humor remains resolutely intact despite it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018The last six years have been full of some of the worst times I\u2019ve been through. There\u2019s been times when I thought my number was up,\u2019 admits Ozzy<\/strong>. \u2018But making music and making two albums saved me. I\u2019d have gone nuts without music.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directed by BAFTA-award winner Tania Alexander<\/strong>, the documentary began filming in early 2022, during the recording sessions for his thirteenth studio album, the 2x GRAMMY Award<\/strong>-winning Patient Number 9<\/strong>. It will continue filming into the summer as Ozzy<\/strong> attempts to take the stage for one final performance with his Black Sabbath<\/strong> bandmates as part of a sold-out, all-star celebration at Villa Park in his hometown of Birmingham on July 5th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Featuring full access to Ozzy<\/strong>, Sharon Osbourne<\/strong> and their children, OZZY OSBOURNE: NO ESCAPE FROM NOW<\/strong> also includes a host of key contributors in his life, including bandmate Tony Iommi<\/strong> (Black Sabbath<\/strong>), Duff McKagan<\/strong> (Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong>), Robert Trujillo<\/strong> (Metallica<\/strong>), Billy Idol<\/strong>, Maynard James Keenan<\/strong> (Tool<\/strong>), Chad Smith<\/strong> (Red Hot Chili Peppers<\/strong>), guitarist Zakk Wylde<\/strong>, producer Andrew Watt<\/strong> and friend\/musician Billy Morrison<\/strong>, all of whom help deliver a human view of a man who remains a hero to millions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adds Sharon Osbourne<\/strong>: \u2018This film is an honest account of what has happened to Ozzy<\/strong> during the last few years. It shows how hard things have been for him and the courage he has shown while dealing with a number of serious health issues, including Parkinson\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s about the reality of his life now. We have worked with a production team we trust and have allowed them the freedom to tell the story openly. We hope that story will inspire people that are facing similar issues to Ozzy<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Osbourne<\/strong> himself is preparing for his final live sendoff, as he prepares to return to the stage to celebrate both his solo career and one last performance with Black Sabbath<\/strong>\u2018s classic era lineup. That star-studded affair<\/a> will feature a who\u2019s who of metal of royalty and is due to take place July 05th at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
