The Texan stoner\/doom band are planning to keep that momentum going this year, having just announced a pair of headlining shows for April, while also pushing ahead with new music and more. The newly announced shows include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">04\/10 Dallas, TX \u2013 Granada Theater<br \/>04\/11 San Antonio, TX \u2013 Paper Tiger<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Tickets for both dates will be up this Friday, February 07th at 10:00am local time. Further shows are being mapped out for the summer. In a newly-published interview with&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.revolvermag.com\/feature\/the-sword-return-inside-texas-stoner-metal-bands-comeback\/\">Revolver<\/a>, the band\u2019s vocalist\/guitarist&nbsp;<strong>John D. Cronise<\/strong>&nbsp;discussed their past breakup and what led to their eventual return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">When that group did originally call it quits,&nbsp;<strong>Cronise<\/strong>&nbsp;seemed resolute in his decision, stating, \u201cEverything I ever wanted to say and do with&nbsp;<strong>The Sword<\/strong>&nbsp;creatively has been said and done.\u201d Asked now by&nbsp;<strong>Revolver<\/strong>&nbsp;about where he currently stands on that sentiment, he replied:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u201c\u2026That statement was very true when I made it, and even now. Like, going forward I\u2019m not sure what new&nbsp;<strong>Sword<\/strong>&nbsp;material is going to sound like. But it\u2019s not going to sound like old&nbsp;<strong>Sword<\/strong>&nbsp;material \u2014 sorry to disappoint all the diehards.
