Following the announcement of their debut full-length album “The Serpent”<\/strong>, AITHEER and Rockshots Records<\/strong> are thrilled to present the next step in this sonic journey: “The Dance of Twins”<\/strong>, a striking single that encapsulates the band’s fearless approach to progressive metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This genre-defying track is one of the most dynamic and intricate compositions on “The Serpent”<\/strong>, seamlessly blending black metal aggression, folk-inspired interludes, and progressive rock intricacy. The song transitions from an intense opening, marked by blistering riffs and growling vocals into unexpected acoustic passages before culminating in a soaring saxophone and guitar solo. It is a bold testament to Aitheer<\/strong>\u2019s ability to traverse musical extremes, weaving chaos and melody into a cohesive and immersive listening experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aitheer<\/strong>, formed in 2017 by Niko L\u00f6fman (vocals, guitars), Antton Kasslin (drums), and Roope Kyt\u00f6l\u00e4 (bass), has steadily evolved from a jam and cover band into one of Finland\u2019s most forward-thinking progressive metal acts. Their 2020 EP “Sleeper” laid the groundwork for their experimental style, but “The Serpent”<\/strong> pushes their vision even further, embracing a cinematic and boundary-breaking approach that draws from metal, jazz, classical, and ambient influences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For fans of Meshuggah, King Crimson, and Vangelis, “The Dance of Twins”<\/strong> offers a constantly shifting, emotionally charged experience that challenges conventional songwriting. The track\u2019s unpredictable structure mirrors the overarching theme of “The Serpent”<\/strong> \u2014a journey through introspection, empowerment, and artistic freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Harri Petjakko at Studio UG in Finland, “The Serpent”<\/strong> will be released on February 21st, 2025, through Rockshots Records<\/strong>. With “The Dance of Twins”<\/strong>, Aitheer<\/strong> reaffirms its place among the most innovative acts in progressive metal delivering a sound that is as uncompromising as it is immersive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
