MOTLEY CRUE has released a cover of Beastie Boys’ “Fight for Your Right” off their upcoming Cancelled<\/em> EP. You can listen to it below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bassist Nikki Sixx originally claimed the Crue would release a full length album last year but was exposed for using AI on the new production and decided to cancel it and only release a 3 song EP. It’s also being said by insiders that Neil’s problems with the bottle made recording a full 10 or 12 songs like the old days impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancelled<\/em> marks the first batch of Motley Crue songs to feature John 5 on guitar instead of Mick Mars. The rockers have been working “Fight for Your Right” into their sets routinely over the past year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Fight for Your Right” is the second offering from the three-song EP, following the original song “Dogs of War” that came out in April. Cancelled<\/em> will be rounded out by its title track. The full EP arrives on Oct. 4 and is available to preorder<\/a> now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the inspiration for the title track, Tommy Lee said on the Club Random podcast:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/a>“There was this article that was like, \u2018How did Motley Crue ever not get cancelled?’ And we were like, ‘F–k, we got to write a song about that because we didn’t ever get it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
