The band commented:\u00a0“Death on Christmas Day is traumatic and destabilizing. On that special day, death is not contemplated. Christmas is birth, life, light and energy. For the loved ones who remain, death on this day changes the perspective of life and sweeps away that magic that has always gravitated around the festive period. Is it a joke of life, a freak of nature, an unexpected ‘surprise’? Whoever passes away on Christmas Day is welcomed directly by the new, magical light of winter, they are embraced by a dazzling new cycle. Death on Christmas day is sacred and holy!
‘Last Christmas I Gave You My Death’ is a complex and macabre song, the most intricate and dynamic of the entire new album. The song is a vortex of riffs, kaleidoscopic melodies intertwine with each other, until reaching the final electric funeral march!\u201d.<\/em>

Four years since the release of their critically acclaimed fifth album,“The Dark Side of Europa”<\/strong>, Italian doom metal forerunners\u00a0DOOMRAISER<\/strong>\u00a0return to the fray with their anthemic new album,\u00a0“Cold Grave Marble”\u00a0<\/strong>on\u00a02nd October 2024\u00a0<\/strong>via\u00a0Time To Kill Records<\/strong>.

The album was recorded and produced once again by\u00a0Danilo Silvestri\u00a0<\/strong>and the band, with artwork overseen by\u00a0Fabio<\/strong>\u00a0Listrani<\/strong>.

The first single\u00a0“Dark Omens”<\/strong>\u00a0is still available\u00a0HERE<\/a><\/strong>.

<\/em>“Cold Grave Marble”<\/strong>, the sixth\u00a0DOOMRAISER<\/strong>\u00a0full doom length, is a frozen view in the darker side of life: Death, the Omega of our earthly dimension. The album is made up of raw riffing seasoned up in heavy, dark and gloomy dreaming atmospheres, and explores a plethora of styles with different sounds and solutions. The songwriting approach is rougher than before, experimental, suggestive, still preserving the classic\u00a0DOOMRAISER<\/strong>\u00a0characteristic sound.

The whole concept lies upon a personal portrayal of Death, the Infinite Void, the Great Absence, the greatest experience in matter of Chaos and disruption of reality. It\u2019s a journey exploring the end of the biological cycle and man\u2019s awareness of the ancient idea of \u201chaving to die\u201d, an extreme but natural event belonging to the inevitability of time.

The album was recorded in Rome, Italy, by the skillful hands of\u00a0Danilo Silvestri<\/strong>\u00a0and mastered (just like the previous album “The Dark Side of Old Europa”) by\u00a0Claudio Gruer<\/strong>. The record features\u00a0important guests such as\u00a0James Murphy<\/strong>\u00a0(Death, Obituary, Testament),\u00a0Flegias<\/strong>\u00a0(Necrodeath),\u00a0Mario Di Donato<\/strong>\u00a0(The Black),\u00a0Nequam<\/strong>\u00a0(The Magik Way, ex Mortuary Drape) among others.
