Metalitalia<\/strong> has announced the complete line-up for the main musical programme of the 2024 edition of the festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th, 2024<\/strong>, once again at the Live Music Club<\/strong> in Trezzo sull\u2019Adda<\/strong> (Milan<\/strong>), Italy<\/strong>!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 14th, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leading the lineup on Saturday, September 14th, we are pleased to host the mighty OVERKILL<\/strong>: it\u2019s not the first time we host a legendary name of the thrash metal scene at our festival, but we are particularly proud to welcome Bobby \u201cBlitz\u201d Ellsworth<\/strong> and D.D. Verni\u2019s<\/strong> band, as they have always boasted a loyal audience in Italy and a discography that, after the great classics of the 80s and early 90s, has regained momentum in recent times with a series of remarkable albums. The US band will perform their only Italian show of 2024 at our festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s with great pleasure that we also announce the return of DESTRUCTION<\/strong> to the stage of the Metalitalia Festival<\/strong>! As many of you know, the German thrash metal band led by Schmier<\/strong> is experiencing a second youth with the new four-piece lineup, being in a position to reinterpret all the classics of their vast discography with a tightness and power rarely seen before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also confirmed for Saturday are MORBID SAINT<\/strong>! We\u2019re talking about a true cult name in our scene, recently back with the new album \u201cSwallowed by Hell\u201d<\/strong>, but, of course, known especially for the masterpiece \u201cSpectrum of Death\u201d<\/strong> (1990), one of the greatest examples of thrash-death metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is now our tradition to bring to Italy bands that are not often seen or have never even played in our country. Having said that, we are proud to announce an exclusive show by British thrashers XENTRIX<\/strong>, who have recently been busy celebrating the thirty-fifth anniversary of the release of their debut album “Shattered Existence”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the confirmations for the first day, we are also very happy to welcome CRIPPLE BASTARDS<\/strong>, a true legend of the local extreme scene, as well as one of the most influential grindcore bands of all time. Already among the highlights of the warm-up show of the 2018 edition, Giulio<\/strong> and his companions will certainly play one of the most brutal performances of the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another important confirmation in the thrash metal field is ANGELUS APATRIDA<\/strong>, an inspiring Spanish band that has been setting European stages on fire for years. The band will support their latest album \u201cAftermath\u201d, released at the end of last year for Century Media Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To complete Saturday’s billboard, the Piedmontese thrashers URAL<\/strong>, an act that many fans of the genre are getting to know, thanks to a series of increasingly convincing releases, and the Lombard death metallers HUSQWARNAH<\/strong>, whose rough old school sounds will have the task of warming up the audience shortly after the doors.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15th, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headlining Sunday, September 15th, will be the masters of horror metal, DEATH SS<\/strong>, who will return to the stage of our festival with a very special show that has no equal in their history so far!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To introduce it, we\u2019ll let the lider maximo Steve Sylvester<\/strong> speak:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur concert at the next Metalitalia Festival will consist of a first part where the current fantastic lineup will offer a best of our most famous songs and then a second part that will see the lineup that recorded the debut album \u2018In DEATH of Steve Sylvester\u2019 in 1988, which will be performed live after 35 years in its entirety. A unique opportunity not to be missed!\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a true pleasure for us to host such a special show and to take a journey back in time with the band to rediscover the album that launched their famous career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equally amazing is the confirmation of CIRITH UNGOL<\/strong>, a legendary band in the entire epic heavy\/doom metal scene. Always in demand in Italy, we are proud to offer our audience such a piece of metal history for a show that will be one of the last of the group\u2019s career. Recently, the band has declared that 2024 will be the last year in which CIRITH UNGOL will perform live. Needless to say, their Italian descent will be one of the events of the year for all fans!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, we are really excited to announce the confirmation of WARLORD<\/strong>, another legendary epic metal band from the USA. Now back with the new album \u201cFree Spirit Soar\u201d<\/strong>, the band now led by Mark Zonder<\/strong> will pay homage to the late leader William J. Tsamis<\/strong>, who passed away three years ago, with a special show that will cover all the old classics of their glorious discography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also truly proud to welcome SATAN<\/strong>! Among the pioneers of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal with the magnificent debut album \u201cCourt in the Act\u201d (1983), the Newcastle band is experiencing an exciting second part of their career, with records such as \u201cCruel Magic\u201d and the recent \u201cEarth Infernal\u201d which marked a return to the quality of the past, bringing the name SATAN back into the spotlight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also glad to welcome NIGHT DEMON<\/strong>, one of the most vital acts of the contemporary epic\/classic heavy metal scene. The band will promote their recent effort \u201cOutsider\u201d<\/strong>, but there will certainly be no shortage of hits from the previous works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To complete this day\u2019s line-up, we\u2019re happy to welcome California\u2019s HAUNT<\/strong> – one of the most active acts of the so-called New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal – and their compatriots HELL FIRE<\/strong>, known for their dynamic mixture of speed and classic metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stay tuned as many other details, including the times of the free meet & greets with all the artists, the metal market, other information on the Metalitalia Ink<\/strong> tattoo convention and new surprises will be announced in the coming weeks!
