\nOn December 16th, UK’s Metal Hammer magazine will celebrate their 200th issue with the inclusion of a Dimebag Darrell Abbott (PANTERA, DAMAGEPLAN) tribute album. The CD and the magazine also coincides with the five-year anniversary of Dimebag’s passing.<\/p>\n
The Dimebag Darrell Abbott tribute album will feature the following artists\/cuts:<\/p>\n
ZAKK WYLDE – ‘Suicide Note Pt. 1’ Metal Hammer spoke to Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn about their decision to cover the Vulgar Display Of Power classic, \u2018Fucking Hostile\u2019.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was either that or \u2018Strength Beyond Strength\u2019 from \u2018Far Beyond Driven\u2019,\u201d said Flynn. \u201cIn the end, we decided that we wanted to do a classic. We chose \u2018Fucking Hostile\u2019 because it\u2019s two and a half minutes of pure, raging metal. It\u2019s short, fast and brutal.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s some real intricate riffing parts in there,\u201d continues Flynn. \u201cWe\u2019d jammed it before but we\u2019d never sat down and analysed it properly.
