\nSavannah, Georgia (USA) metal band BLACK TUSK have signed with Relapse Records.
\n
\nBlack Tusk formed in 2005 and saw the release of their debut full-length, “Passage Through Purgatory,” last year via Hyperrealist. Black Tusk has most recently released a series of split 7″s including those with ASG, The Holy Mountain, and Fight Amp. Audio samples taken from these releases can be heard now via the band’s MySpace page.

\nBlack Tusk are currently rounding out a run of dates with Black Cobra in the eastern US. Upon returning home, Black Tusk will begin writing for their Relapse debut for an expected spring 2010 release date.

\nBlack Tusk commented on the signing: “It’s awesome to be on a label with so many bands that have helped shaped our tastes and with a staff that treats like family. We’re stoked to get this next record out and we have a bunch of tours in the works so keep an eye out.”
