In a nutshell, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/\">Billboard charts <\/a>are &#8220;rigged&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The&nbsp;<strong><em>Billboard<\/em>&nbsp;200<\/strong>&nbsp;is a&nbsp;record chart&nbsp;ranking the 200 most popular&nbsp;music albums&nbsp;and&nbsp;EPs&nbsp;in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Top Album Sales<\/strong>&nbsp;is a&nbsp;music chart&nbsp;published by&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em>&nbsp;magazine starting in May 1991,&nbsp;and has existed in its current form since December 2014. It is a weekly chart documenting the best-selling albums on a weekly basis in the United States. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Up until December 2014, this had been documented by the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Billboard_200\"><em>Billboard<\/em>&nbsp;200<\/a>&nbsp;chart, but that chart was altered to factor in&nbsp;music streaming&nbsp;by accounting for&nbsp;album-equivalent units&nbsp;in its tallies to document the effect of the rise of music streaming outlets such as&nbsp;Apple Music&nbsp;and&nbsp;Spotify. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Starting in the&nbsp;<em>Top Album Sales<\/em>&nbsp;chart&#8217;s debut week of May 25, 1991,&nbsp;<em>Billboard<\/em>&nbsp;began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from&nbsp;Soundscan, now known as Luminate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">How is it possible that ex-KISS guitarist Ace Frehley landed on the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-200\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/charts\/billboard-200\/\"> Top 200 chart<\/a> (WEEK OF MARCH 9, 2024) at position #72, yet Mars is nowhere to be seen on the Top 200 list at all? Ace only plays small concert venues, while Mick&#8217;s band M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE was featured on The Stadium Tour in 2022, playing to over one million fans around North America via 36 tour dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Frehley and Mars&#8217; albums both released on the same day (Feb 23).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MickMarsthelegend-4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"474\" height=\"266\"  data-gnlv=\"hey\" src=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MickMarsthelegend-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111045\" style=\"width:368px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MickMarsthelegend-4.jpg 474w, https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/MickMarsthelegend-4-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 474px) 100vw, 474px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The music industry is controlled by &#8220;dark forces&#8221; who are looking to send a message to certain artists, who dare to challenge the system. Mick Mars&#8217; lawsuit battle against his former band M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE has apparently put the 72-year-old guitar legend on their &#8220;shit list&#8221;, despite Mars having millions of fans around the world and is estimated to have sold over 50,000 digital units and 50,000 physical copies of his debut solo album &#8220;The Other Side of Mars&#8221; in the USA the first week it was released on February 23, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-244.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"604\" height=\"436\"  data-gnlv=\"hey\" src=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-244.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-111021\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-244.png 604w, https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-244-600x433.png 600w, https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-244-300x217.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 604px) 100vw, 604px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/hughmcintyre\/2024\/03\/08\/mtley-cre-guitarist-mick-mars-debut-solo-album-hits-the-billboard-charts\/?sh=4a7a1ec0639c\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/hughmcintyre\/2024\/03\/08\/mtley-cre-guitarist-mick-mars-debut-solo-album-hits-the-billboard-charts\/?sh=4a7a1ec0639c\">Forbes<\/a>, <em>The Other Side of Mars<\/em>&nbsp;launched highest on the Top Album Sales chart,&nbsp;<em>Billboard\u2019s<\/em>&nbsp;ranking of the bestselling titles in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Mars\u2019 first collection on his own debuts at No. 13 on the tally, starting with 5,200 copies sold in the U.S., according to Luminate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">5,200 copies? That number is no way the real sales number, according to TMD&#8217;s <strong>Randy &#8220;Rocket&#8221; Cody<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Cody comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;There is no way in hell Mick only sold that low amount. He is a legend, and my world-famous metal music news website TheMetalDen.com generated tens of millions of impressions promoting his album the last quarter of 2023 as a build up to its release in February of this year. That number is wrong. Mick is #1 all day long.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&nbsp;<strong>The maybe-former Cr\u00fce member comes in behind new launches from the likes of Twice (<em>With You-Th<\/em>, No. 1), Le Sserafim (<em>Easy<\/em>, No. 2), French Montana (<em>Mac &amp; Cheese 5<\/em>, No. 3), Ace Frehley (<em>10,000 Volts<\/em>, No. 4), Gracie Abrams and Aaron Dessner (<em>The Good Riddance Acoustic Shows [Live]<\/em>, No. 11), and Rod Stewart and Jools Holland (<em>Swing Fever<\/em>, No. 12).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;Ace Frehley #4 is a total joke. That album totally sucks compared to Mick&#8217;s masterwork&#8221;, Mr. Cody says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>At the same time that it\u2019s become a top 20 win on the Top Album Sales chart,&nbsp;<em>The Other Side of Mars<\/em>&nbsp;is also a quick success on the Top Hard Rock Albums list. On that tally, the set starts at No. 23, narrowly breaking onto the 25-spot list.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">&#8220;13 and 23 are very important occult numbers, and it seems this is how the music industry, run by the Illuminati is sending the rebellious guitarist a message&#8221;, according to Mr. Cody. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">13 plus 23 equals 36. That is the mark of the beast 3-6&#8217;s is indeed 666.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Everyone can recall DJ Khaled\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmusicnews.com\/2019\/06\/10\/dj-khaled-lawsuit-billboard\/\">high-profile meltdown<\/a>&nbsp;in 2019 when Billboard refused to name&nbsp;<em>Father of Asahd<\/em>&nbsp;the top album on the Billboard 200 (the award when to Tyler, the Creator).<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The reason is that Khaled was accused of jacking up his album \u2018sales\u2019 through a novel sponsorship tie-in, which rubbed the Billboard chart authorities the wrong way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Khaled threatened to sue \u2014 over a chart position, believe it or not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">As the story goes, Billboard changed the rules right after the Khaled fiasco. That was in 2021, and Billboard has changed the rules numerous times since then.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">And with every rule change, there\u2019s a brand-new opportunity to exploit a loophole.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmusicnews.com\/2020\/01\/02\/billboard-charts-game\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.digitalmusicnews.com\/2020\/01\/02\/billboard-charts-game\/\">Reggie Gooden <\/a>of 818 Talent explained the &#8220;down the dark-and-dirty rabbit hole of Billboard chart-gaming, into a world of \u2018stream farms,\u2019 crafty product tie-ins, \u2018playola,\u2019 and other nefarious weapons to land a number one.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">At one point, Gooden flat-out called the Billboard charts \u2018rigged\u2019.
