\nTMD has learned that the PANTERA tribute album is coming together, featuring covers
\nof the legendary Texas groove metal band’s most popular tracks by some of today’s
\ntop metal acts.
\n
\nSo far, the bands and songs ready for the CD are:
\n
\nMACHINE HEAD<\/strong> – “Fucking Hostile”
\nCHIMAIRA<\/strong> – “Slaughtered”
\nEVILE<\/strong> – “Cemetery Gates”
\nZAKK WYLDE<\/strong> – “Suicide Note”
\nTHROWDOWN<\/strong> – [to be announced]
\n
\nThe disc is reportedly being assembled by an unrevealed UK metal magazine.
\n
\nMachine Head vocalist\/guitarist Robb Flynn had this to say recently about it:

\n\u201dFound time to hop into Trident Studios with Juan Urteaga and record a PANTERA tune for a b-side. We\u2019re doing \u2018Fucking Hostile\u2019!!! Dave is done with drums (nailed it on the second take!), and I finished guitars yesterday and got vocals in the bag. Phil comes in tomorrow, then Adam, then it\u2019ll be mixed and mastered by the end of the week. Mike Sloat has been documenting, so we\u2019ll probably have video snippets up when the whole thing gets closer to release.”
