Fans will reportedly have to wait more than three years to see the first\u00a0KISS<\/strong>\u00a0avatar concert. The cost of the production will be over 200 million dollars, according to Gene Simmons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not one performer in the new KISS lineup is a human being. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today,\u00a0KISS<\/strong>\u00a0released a short video announcing that “a show” featuring the\u00a0KISS<\/strong>\u00a0avatars “is coming” in “2027”. The band captioned the clip: “50 years is a long time, and what the future holds is in the making.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The technology being used for the\u00a0KISS<\/strong>\u00a0avatars, originally developed for\u00a0ABBA<\/strong>‘s\u00a0“Voyage”<\/strong>\u00a0show in London, will allow\u00a0KISS<\/strong>\u00a0to stay “on the road” in retirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As opposed to the\u00a0“ABBA Voyage”<\/strong>\u00a0show, which remakes a 1970s-era\u00a0ABBA<\/strong>\u00a0concert in a custom-built London arena,\u00a0KISS<\/strong>‘s avatars that appeared at the band’s final concert in New York earlier this month will not be as grounded in reality as\u00a0ABBA<\/strong>‘s digital replicas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to\u00a0BBC News<\/strong>, the\u00a0KISS<\/strong>\u00a0avatars will see the band appear as fantasy-based superheroes who are eight feet tall, breathing fire and shooting electricity from their fingers, while floating above the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
