Brazilian death-thrashers\u00a0TORTURE SQUAD<\/strong>\u00a0have released the brand new video for their latest single\u00a0“Flukeman”<\/strong>, off of their new album,\u00a0“Devilish”<\/strong>, out now\u00a0via\u00a0Time To Kill Records<\/strong>.

“Flukeman”<\/strong>\u00a0is a\u00a0mysterious horror story inspired by a character from the X-Files series, a mutant humanoid that hides in water to attack its victims.

“Devilish”<\/strong>\u00a0is an album surrounded by a dark atmosphere, its lyrics show urges experienced in our century, such as the constant degradation of the Amazon rainforest and the population increasingly affected by psychological illnesses such as anxiety and depression. At the same time, it opens windows of escape for an imaginary world inspired by games, series and fiction books.

In their second album with the new lineup,\u00a0Mayara Puertas<\/strong>\u00a0(Voice),\u00a0Rene Simionato<\/strong>\u00a0(Guitar),\u00a0Castor<\/strong>\u00a0(Bass) and\u00a0Amilcar Christ\u00f3faro<\/strong>\u00a0(Drums) transcend the sound of extreme metal with maturity, incorporating progressive metal, influences from Brazilian music and symphonic elements.

The album also honors Brazilian heroes with a participation of\u00a0Andreas Kisser<\/strong>\u00a0(Sepultura<\/strong>) in the track\u00a0\u201cBuried Alive\u201d<\/strong>, and a tribute to\u00a0Rickson Gracie<\/strong>\u00a0the resilient fighter of Jiu Jitsu considered one of the greatest legends in this sport, the theme of the track\u00a0\u201cWarrior\u201d<\/strong>. The band also mobilized several musicians related to indigenous causes in their country to collaborate on the song\u00a0“Uatum\u00e3”<\/strong>, making an appeal for the preservation of the Amazon in a song that flows in an powerful way with the speeches of the indigenous leader\u00a0Raoni Metuktire<\/strong>\u00a0and tribal rhythms.

For the cover art, the band had\u00a0Marcelo Vasco<\/strong>, a Brazilian illustrator who has already created artworks for Slayer, Dimmu Borgir, Soulfly among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
