Don Dokken<\/strong> has a few things to say when it comes to his old friend Mick Mars,<\/strong> after having known\u00a0Mars\u00a0for more than four decades, since he was in the pre-M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong>\u00a0band\u00a0VENDETTA. Dokken during a new Artists On Record Starring ADIKA Live!<\/a> interview went on to call\u00a0Mick\u00a0the “most underrated guitar player.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Forget about chops. Forget about fucking hammer-ons and Eddie Van Halen copies. His rhythm playing, man, it’s the shit,”\u00a0Don\u00a0explained. “Mick Mars\u00a0wrote a ton of\u00a0M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE\u00a0songs. He is an amazing rhythm guitar player, and he wrote all those great rhythms in\u00a0M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Nobody talks about\u00a0Mick<\/strong>\u00a0because he’s a very private person,”\u00a0Dokken<\/strong>\u00a0added. “Anybody ever says [M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong>\u00a0bassist]\u00a0Nikki Sixx<\/strong>\u00a0wrote all the songs, and [M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong>\u00a0drummer]\u00a0Tommy Lee<\/strong>\u2026 Fuck you.\u00a0Mick Mars<\/strong>\u00a0was a huge factor in\u00a0M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong>‘s cool, groovin’ cool riff uptempo songs. It was\u00a0Mick<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mars filed a lawsuit against his former bandmates for ripping him off and for using backing tracks at last year’s The Stadium Tour that Mars called “The Worst 36 gigs” he ever played with the Crue in 41 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
