Debrow reveals the dirt on Nikki Sixx&#8217;s inability to play the bass guitar. <strong>M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong> is in the midst of a huge lip-sync controversy, and recently ousted Crue guitarist<strong> Mick Mars <\/strong>claims that Nikki Sixx is fake playing at concerts while relying 100% on pre-recorded tracks.<br \/><br \/>According to&nbsp;<strong>Full In Bloom&nbsp;<\/strong>music, the Dubrow interview audio is from a cassette tape (recorded) interview with<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>the singer<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>shortly before his death. Dubrow delves into the notorious L.A. glam metal scene of the eighties and does not hold back when it comes to explaining how Nikki Sixx could not play the bass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>DuBrow&nbsp;<\/strong>on the band&nbsp;<strong>London<\/strong>:&nbsp;<em>\u201cThey were just awful, oh God, I mean, nice guy&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie Grey<\/strong>, but the worst guitar sound of all time. And then&nbsp;<strong>Nikki<\/strong>&nbsp;realized that wasn\u2019t going to be the thing that was gonna crack it for them.<\/em>\u201c<br \/><br \/><strong>DuBrow<\/strong>&nbsp;also talks about how<strong>&nbsp;Sixx&nbsp;<\/strong>ripped off&nbsp;<strong>Blackie Lawless<\/strong>&nbsp;(<strong>W.A.S.P.<\/strong>) and his band&nbsp;<strong>Sister&nbsp;<\/strong>who were big on the club scene in those days.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-127.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"496\" height=\"343\"  data-gnlv=\"hey\" src=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-127.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-100872\" srcset=\"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-127.png 496w, https:\/\/themetalden.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-127-300x207.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><br \/><strong>DuBrow<\/strong>&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>Nikki Sixx<\/strong>&nbsp;auditioning for&nbsp;<strong>Quiet Riot:<\/strong>&nbsp;<em>\u201cRemember,&nbsp;<strong>Nikki&nbsp;<\/strong>(<strong>Sixx<\/strong>) auditioned for&nbsp;<strong>Quiet Riot<\/strong>&nbsp;when&nbsp;<strong>Kelli&nbsp;<\/strong>(<strong>Garni<\/strong>) left in \u201977. We predated these bands by at least four or five years, long years let me tell you. (laughing)\u201d<\/em><br \/><br \/><strong>DuBrow&nbsp;<\/strong>continues on&nbsp;<strong>Sixx<\/strong>&nbsp;when&nbsp;<strong>Full In Bloom&nbsp;<\/strong>ask<em>s \u201cWas Nikki any good at that time?\u201d<\/em>,<strong>&nbsp;Dubrow&nbsp;<\/strong>replies with:&nbsp;<em>\u201cNo. He didn\u2019t know the names of the notes. Yeah, so&nbsp;<strong>Randy<\/strong>&nbsp;(<strong>Rhoads)<\/strong>&nbsp;couldn\u2019t sit there and teach him how to play bass, and we really liked him as a person, but he just didn\u2019t know how to play the instrument. That\u2019s not just an insult, it\u2019s a fact. I mean, in 1977, he did not know the instrument.\u201d<\/em><br \/><br \/><strong>Full In Bloom<\/strong>&nbsp;then asks:&nbsp;<em>\u201cSo, he actually sat down and jammed with you guys?\u201d,<\/em>&nbsp;to which<strong>&nbsp;DuBrow&nbsp;<\/strong>replied with:&nbsp;<em>\u201cNot really. We said the song is in the key of F, and he (<strong>Nikki)<\/strong>&nbsp;said: \u201cWhere\u2019s F?\u201d.
