{"id":100033,"date":"2023-03-23T14:52:55","date_gmt":"2023-03-23T19:52:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/?p=100033"},"modified":"2023-03-23T14:58:04","modified_gmt":"2023-03-23T19:58:04","slug":"carmine-appice-says-he-gave-motley-crues-tommy-lee-his-drum-sound-on-theatre-of-pain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/themetalden.com\/?p=100033","title":{"rendered":"Carmine Appice Says He Gave M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE&#8217;s Tommy Lee His Drum Sound On &#8220;Theatre of Pain&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The epic battle being waged by legendary rock drummer <strong>Carmine Appice<\/strong> versus <strong>M\u00d6TLEY CR\u00dcE<\/strong> continues, after Carmine leveled bassist <strong>Nikki Sixx <\/strong>with the admission that the Crue&#8217;s founding guitarist <strong>Mick Mars<\/strong> left the lineup due to all of Crue&#8217;s The Stadium Tour shows being totally pre-recorded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Sixx denied all of this (despite video online that shows Vince Neil clearly getting busted doing lip-sync at an early 2023 Crue show) by responding with a raging Tweet immediately after the story hit the press calling Carmine a &#8220;washed up drummer.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Now word coming from FullinBloom channel on YouTube is that Carmine is taking credit for giving the Crue&#8217;s <strong>Tommy Lee<\/strong> his drum sound for &#8220;Theatre of Pain&#8221; album, <em>believe it or not<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">1985&#8217;s &#8220;Theatre of Pain&#8221; featured many classic Crue cuts like the cover of Brownsville Station&#8217;s &#8220;Smoking in The Boys Room&#8221; and the classic original ballad &#8220;Home Sweet Home&#8221; written by Sixx and Lee.
