TRAUMA – New Album Details Revealed

Late 2020 will prove to be a busy time for first-wave thrash metal act TRAUMA, for they plan to release their fourth full-length album and tour throughout Europe on a bill also featuring ROSS THE BOSS and BURNING WITCHES. Comprised of Donny Hillier (lead vocals), Kris Gustofson (drums), Greg Christian (bass, ex-TESTAMENT), Joe Fraulob (guitar) and Steve Robello (guitar), TRAUMA looks to build on the buzz created by its last album, 2018’s “As The World Dies”.

BEHEMOTH – Post “A Forest” Live Video

BEHEMOTH have unleashed a live video for their cover of The Cure‘s “A Forest“. Shining (SWE) frontman Niklas Kvarforth guested on the track with the footage stemming from the band’s February 24th, 2020 show at the Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, FIN, which saw them opening for Slipknot.

Behemoth will release their “A Forest” EP tomorrow, May 29th through Metal Blade. In addition to studio and live versions of this particular cover, it will also feature the previously unreleased “I Loved You At Your Darkest” b-sides, “Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha” and “Evoe“.

BELPHEGOR – New Album Delayed Until Early 2021

The new BELPHEGOR album has now been pushed back to early 2021.

Belphegor frontman Helmuth comments: “Because of the global pandemic, we must push the release of the still-untitled LP back to early 2021. We have been composing this new album since what feels like forever. Drums have already been recorded before the outbreak in February this year at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden. Since mid-March Serpenth and I have kept busy by tracking guitars and bass for the new album.”

RAMMSTEIN – Postpone North American Tour

RAMMSTEIN have now postponed their summer North American tour dates, originally slated to commence in late August. The trek will be rescheduled for 2021.

The band comments:

VEKTOR – Return From Hiatus

VEKTOR’s 2016 breakup shocked a lot of fans. Guitarist Erik Nelson, bassist Frank Chin and drummer Blake Anderson all jumped ship.

The band would go on hiatus as a result, though the band’s frontman/guitarist David DiSanto would find himself back in the public eye in 2019. That year saw his wife Katy DiSanto publicly accuse him of sexual assualt and physical abuse, sharing since deleted video evidence of David‘s alleged abuse and legal documentation filed on the incident.

David would later issue this statement, alleging the accusations were “false”. Now comes word that David and Erik Nelson have reunited the band, adding Mike Ohlson on drums and Stephen Coon on bass. They issued the below statement earlier today:

WVRM – Release New Music Video

WVRM have premiered a new music video featuring two tracks from their recent album, Colony Collapse. The South Carolina grindcore outfit have joined their songs “Black Flags Toward Sodom (Me Ne Frego)” and “Tank Reaper” into a double feature of sorts. The clip can be viewed above.

Vocalist Ian Nix comments: “Black Flags… and Tank Reaper are two of our more explosive and unique tracks that we really wanted to expand on artistically. The video was directed and produced by Brittany Brock, an up and coming local film maker. We wanted the imagery and the story to be close to home. The video is based on a local girl who believed she was told by god in order to keep the world from ending she had to rip out her own eyes. She succeeded at this task.”

CARACH ANGREN – Debut New Track

A third single from CARACH ANGREN’s forthcoming new album “Franckensteina Strataemontanus” has seen a release online. The track is titled “Operation Compass” and the band had the following to say of it:

“‘Operation Compass‘ will take you back to the sceneries of World War II in North Africa. British forces were instructed to use Dippel’s bone oil to poison water wells in case of a retreat, hence the connection to the conceptual story on the album.
