CANDLEMASS – Streaming New Track

CANDLEMASS have a new EP titled “The Pendulum” slated for a March 27th release date via Napalm Records. The outing will feature several previously unreleased b-sides from the sessions for their latest full-length, “The Door To Doom.“ The band’s bassist (and mastermind) Leif Edling commented:

“‘The Pendulum‘ is about hard riffing, epic choruses and total delusion the fanatical way. It is in fact the last thing I wrote for ‘The Door To Doom‘ album but didn’t have the time to finish it. Here it is in its grand/mad luster with a great mix by Niklas Flyckt, and produced by Marcus Jidell. It is followed by 5 unreleased demos from the DTD sessions because the whole sha-bang was at first supposed to be a double effort but got trimmed down to a single album eventually.

Comments guitarist/vocalist Erik Olson of the Brett Roberts-directed clip: “The video was filmed on location in the countries that made up former Yugoslavia. It highlights both the beauty and strangeness of Spomenik (WW2) monuments, some of which have been forgotten by the sands of time. Enjoy!”

Lord Dying come from Portland, Oregon, a place over abundant with purveyors of the heavy riff. A region where the inhabitants are plagued with nerve and joint damage due to lack of sunlight...

VINCE NEIL – Delivers “Shitfaced Drunk” Message

MÖTLEY CRÜE lead singer, Vince Neil, was asked to deliver a surprise birthday message recently to a “Crue Super Fan” and the troubled vocalist not only appears more bloated then ever, despite his handlers claiming he was on his way to being in the best shape of his life for the Crue’s pending comeback tour later this year, but the singer also totally slurs his words and practically forgets how to speak. This is a very real and sad indication of where the vocalist is currently at in his life, not only from a weight standpoint but it appears to be a flat out cry for help. Check out the absolutely shocking video above.

MÖTLEY CRÜE will team up with DEF LEPPARD, POISON and JOAN JETT & THE BLACKHEARTS for “The Stadium Tour” this summer...

The news comes via frontman Trevor Strnad during a recent interview with Pure Grain Audio. Interestingly, recording for the album appears to have been completed last spring. Strnad had the following to say about the record:

“The album comes out in April and the first taste of it will be at the beginning of next month, the first song and the artwork and the big reveal of the name, and all that. It’s been a long time to think about it, let me tell you.”
