Florida’s INFERNAEON have completed recording their second full-length album which should see the streets later this summer. The band, who blends Flordian death metal with more symphonic, sinister European black metal, recorded at Erik Rutan’s infamous Mana Recording Studios (Goatwhore, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer Brian Elliott. This is the first album with new guitarists Taylor Nordberg and Steven Harger and bassist Mike Poggione and is the follow up to 2007’s critically acclaimed, “A Symphony of Suffering,” which Metal Hammer described as, “brave, unflinchingly inventive and jackhammer-heavy from beginning to end.”

Polish prog metallers VOTUM recently confirmed their appearances at this year’s edition of the Metal Hammer Festival in Poland alongside Katatonia, Opeth, Pain Of Salvation, Riverside and headliners Korn (with one band still to be announced). The event will take place on August 27 at Spodek Hall in Katowice.
VOTUM formed in Warsaw in 2003. The band will unleash their second full-length, Metafiction, in the US on August 3 via Armoury Records. At once dark, somber and beautiful, Metafiction was recorded at the famed Izabelin Studio in Poland and is a seven-track concept album that focuses as much on the music as it does the lyrics and visual art surrounding it. Den Headz, it looks like former OZZY OSBOURNE guitar maniac ZAKK WYLDE has traded in the bottle for a new vice in life. No, not Justin Bieber music.
This time around… the big fella seems to have turned into an absolute raging (gasp)
Zakk’s other band (you know the one that got him kicked out of Ozzy) is BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and the burly axe man now seems to be over-using Twitter as his sole means of addressing his biker garbed “Berzerker” army that remain vigilant for the return of the Fonzie of heavy metal music.
“WE LIVE FOR NEGATIVITY!!!!!WE NEED SOMETHING TO EAT N DESTROY!!!!! PRAY FOR WAR!!!! ….THE ORDER”
– Zakk Wylde, Twitter (June 26, 5:45 PM)
Not exactly Shakespeare, but then again what do you expect to spill from the mind of metal’s craziest six string a...Read More
