SWEET SAVAGE – Guitarist Dies

SWEET SAVAGE guitarist and founding member Trevor Fleming passed away this past Saturday (October 2).

Not to be confused with America’s now defunct SWEET SAVAGE band with vocalist Joey C. Jones and drummer Randy St. John, who themselves were one of the 80′s top glam metal acts. SWEET SAVAGE are a legendary metal band from Belfast, Northern Ireland, credited as being part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement alongside great acts such as Iron Maiden, Saxon and Def Leppard.

Alongside Fleming, was Vivian Campbell on guitar and the band gained a support slot for Thin Lizzy on their Renegade tour and throughout their career supported rock icons Ozzy Osbourne and Motörhead.
