Scott Stapp Turns Down MÖTLEY CRÜE, Set To Rejoin CREED For Reunion

The ongoing rumor that Scott Stapp was going to be replacing troubled Crue vocalist Vince Neil has found itself now at a dead end, as word coming from CREED camp is that Stapp has purportedly rejected the offer from Nikki Sixx to join MÖTLEY CRÜE as the band’s new singer for the legendary glam metal’s bands upcoming World Tour. The reason he declined Sixx’s offer is because of the band’s usage of backing tracks during their live shows, believe it or not.

An industry source provided TMD with the dirt on the matter:

“Scott loves the Crue like everyone else, but after witnessing drummer Tommy Lee get caught performing live with a backing track, he feels that faking it for the crowd is below his standards as a musician.”

Stapp cancelled his UK tour recently and is clearing the schedule for his solo touring to make way for what will be the biggest reunion of them all, bigger than the Crue and Pantera, according to industry experts.

While no official word has been made by CREED yet, Mark Tremonti recently did an interview and spoke in detail about the fans great desire to see the band make its big comeback this year.
