RED RAZOR presents their new single “Born in South America”, a song that besides the traditional thrash metal that’s usually their style, also brings some new influences like death metal, surf music and brazilian traditional rhythms.
The lyrics are about their continent’s history and politics and it’s inspired by Uruguayan author Eduardo Galeano, whose book “Open Veins of Latin America” tells the tale of five centuries of pillage and exploitation of the region.
The song will be included in the band’s second full length, to be released next july. It was recorded, mixed and mastered by Alexei Leão at AML Studio in Florianópolis, Brazil and the artwork was done by Marcelo Dod.
A Red Razor vem apresentar o single “Born in South America”, música que além do Thrash, estilo tradicional da banda, incorpora também influências de diversos outros gêneros musicais como baião, surf music e death metal.
A letra fala de integração e identificação que a banda tem com o continente sul americano e sua cultura, trazendo como inspiração o livro “As Veias Abertas da América Latina” do escritor uruguaio Eduardo Galeano. Apesar de ser do sul do Brasil (Florianópolis/SC), a banda refuta completamente o movimento “O Sul é Meu País” e por isso deixa claro que o único sul que os representa é o da América.
A faixa fará parte do seu segundo disco full length, cujo lançamento está previsto para julho de 2019 e se chamará “The Revolution Continues” e foi gravada, mixada e masterizada por Alexei Leão no AML Estúdio em Florianópolis, enquanto que a arte da capa é assinada por Marcelo Dod (Surra, Desalmado, Manger Cadavre, entre outros).
