DIMMU BORGIR – Release New Live Video

Den Headz, only one week away from Norwegian symphonic black metal act DIMMU BORGIR unleashing the double-DVD/BluRay “Forces Of The Northern Night.” To increase the anticipation, a live video of the song “Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse” can be checked out below.

The clip was filmed during a live ritual in Oslo together with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Schola Cantorum Choir.

“Forces Of The Northern Night” bears witness to two different live shows: a 2011 concert in Oslo, as well as an entire performance at Wacken Open Air in 2012 with almost 100 musicians in action.

But this marks only the very beginning of Dimmu Borgir’s return, as in the second half of 2017, Shagrath, Silenoz and Galder will finally deliver a new album – the band’s first record in seven years!

Dimmuborgir (pronounced “DIM-moo bor-GEAR”) is a large area of unusually shaped lava fields that includes various cave and rock formations east of Lake Mỷvatn on Iceland. While the word “dimmu” means “fog/dark,” and “borgir” means “castle/fortress,” and the lava fields were named after the Kirkjan (“The Church”) cave with the high, gothic-styled vaulted ceiling, the area is commonly referred to as “the Gates to Hell.”

Welcome to the not-so-mythical world of Norway’s DIMMU BORGIR – thee most prominent melodic black metal act in the world.
